    • Should Cadillac use the C8 platform? Halo Cadillac supercar

Someone created these renderings and then sold them to multiple outlets who are now calling them their own. Good for them but they have nothing to do with what the actual design of a Cadillac sports car using the C8 platform would look like.

The underlying question is a great one though. Should GM let Cadillac use the C8 platform? Should Cadillac want to?

GM shares just about everything between its brands and Cadillac could really pump some much needed attitude, performance, and style into the brand with a supercar.

Think of it much like how Audi utilized the R8. The idea makes all the sense in the world especially for a brand as boring as Cadillac that continues to search for attention and identity.

This should be a no-brainer with the Cadillac Blackwing twin turbo 4.2 V8 under the hood but they will likely miss this opportunity like they miss all opportunities.

Yes yes yes. Cadillac should for sure get a halo car based on the C8 (and GM has basically said that already stating the reason they were able to get such a low price was platform sharing in the future).

I 100% agree but who knows what they will do.

They prefer to do cool looking concepts than cool looking cars:
