      This is both a blessing and a curse. Ultimately, the C8 Corvette being DCT (dual clutch) only means only one supplier was necessary and testing for multiple transmission options was not a factor in development.


      That kept costs low and the C8 Corvette is all about value. The ~$60k price point is its strongest attribute.

      Who knows what the cost would be if they tried to develop a manual but it would not help move units in any significant manner to warrant that cost.

      As the head of Corvette engineering states, the manual is dying:

      People will get over it. You just can not do a manual when value is the biggest selling point.
